"Research into protective gear for warfighters is a great thing to be involved with, and biomechanics is a lot of fun. The downside is that the work tends to be on the edge of the academic and industrial divide, and the sponsors of the work are a small and heavily-lobbied group. The result is a lot of tribalism, and open competition is avoided whenever possible. You have to be in the right organization to get the work."

"Great residents, but pay wasn't enough."
What do you like about working at Community Options?
"The residents were great, and they gave paid time-off, as well as, holiday pay."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"The interview is easy!! Basically don't say anything stupid and lie about helping others, talk about your knack for helping other, and talk about no obstacle could get in your way. Lie, lie, lie, because if you got that interview, chances are that you are already hired. Everybody who interviews basically got the job, it all depends on what you say, because you do not need experience. All you have to have is a diploma or GED and a driver's license."
What don't you like about working at Community Options?
"I don't like the limited resources and how some staff treat residents. They don't pay enough for most of the tasks they have us do, and they expect you to take on things that are not in your job description. Plus, the company broke as a joke. Petty cash always empty and when you take them out to a restaurant you only have $10, so that's a burger w/ fries and water."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Manage money better and listen to the residents, really care for them as if they are your family. Management just basically needs to get involved more."

"The projects. I got the opportunities to solve the real problems, not just publishing papers."

"Make sure you know the difference between regular company and staffing contract company"

"The company is a government contract company, I work at client's site, so I have dual management responsibilities. Not much room for promotion."

"Get off-site employees involved in project proposals as much as possible"

"The environment is friendly and we have loyal and very interesting customers. Mundane and repetitive tasks are made interesting because of having to deal with the public. every day is an adventure!"

"The best applicants are friendly, multitask well, and love helping people. One should also have a strong positive work ethic and be a self-starter."
What don't you like about working at His Way Christian Bookstore?
"There is little room to grow and/or level up. Little resources and time are available to gain an expected expert level of knowledge. No incentives or rewards are given for quality work."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Give positive and negative feedback, not just negative. All feedback should be given in a direct, constructive manner. Provide incentives and rewards good work. Remember you are part of a team; help your team as much as you expect them to help you."

"Good group of smart professionals. Hated to leave, but with sale of my divisions, positions were very limited."
