"Lead difficult jobs that took multiple depars to complete"
"The ability to state your point of view at any given moment and making it count is something to live for, as one CAN bring their experience to bear upon technical viewpoints. An essential downside to teams working together is the fallacy of working with the notion that more churn translates to more work done, but I suppose that's true of most places."
"Need to handle lots of projects and take lots of challenges at the same time. Glad to get in touch with lots of talented people and great products!"
"Love the variety of my work at Qualcomm. I have had leadership and lead responsibilities, hardware and software integration and development challenges at all levels. There is really as much work as you want to put in and you are on a constant learning curve as we reach across the bleeding edge of a wide range of technologies. Miss the Qualcomm Christmas parties and summer events that was killed over the past few years just to save a few dollars, but was essential to maintain employee morale."
"Love the the job security and not much about the challenges and flexibility."
"When working on internal Quadrus projects, it was a great experience. A large part of the job was working to support external customers doing work on their site according to their rules. Since these jobs typically would happen because the external customer was having trouble meeting technical or schedule goals, that work environment was often a difficult one (no direct fault of Quadrus, but still part of the experience)."
"I am not really hung up on titles. To me it is all about whether or not I like what I am doing and am I having FUN at work. The only down side I can say about being an SSE is that you slowly start to drift away from a lot of hands on development - which is what I LOVE to do. Not interested in being a manager or even project lead. Just want to work on cool and interesting projects."
"The work can be challenging at time, but it can also be boring. Also, the staff tends to be stiff and not social. The department where I work is trying to improve that area."
"Very relax working environment and a group of highly competent engineers."
