Senior Research Fellow at Merck
in Rahway, NJ

Please give us a one liner to describe this review.

"My opinion is supported by Merck's Vioxx."

What do you like about working at Merck?

"In the beginning of my employment in the late 1970's I had the privilege to work with brilliant scientists, the best known in the pharmaceutical business."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"If you get hired and in your position you demonstrate competence and professional and personal integrity, Merck's corporate culture is going to destroy your career."

What don't you like about working at Merck?

"Beginning the 1980's unethical and incompetent elements have taken control of the Company's R&D. In order to justify their high positions and compensations, certain individuals regularly used plagiarism. The Company not only allowed but also supported unethical behavior and incompetence."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"None, Merck's management is too corrupt to consider any suggestion other than continuing their way of operation essential to their survival. I have a suggestion for the Company, however: get rid of the current management and start building a new leadership by hiring people with demonstrated competence and ethical conduct beyond reproach."
