"IT Management focus on short term goals, extreme focus on bonuses/getting along, top-down planning while espousing team work, appearances matter most, little competence-based management promotion, little actual people management just supervisory activity, favoritism-based decision making, there is more."

"Really try to get the trust of the staff, use the feedback honestly, not as cover for past mistakes."
