"No opportunities for advancement as an IT professional are very limiting because it's a company in the Legal Services industry (much like a law firm)."

"Better communication to direct reports and employees of changes and vision."

"It is very employee-oriented, with good benefits and great people to work with."

"Patience - it takes about three to four months to get hired on."

"I dislike that there is not a lot of opportunity to move in the company - or up in the company."

"It's a very nice place to work. You really have to look hard to find things to complain about."

"People interviewing at E*TRADE can expect lower base salaries than they may see other places however E*TRADE does pay bonuses every year."
What don't you like about working at Morgan Stanley?
"There are limited career opportunities due to industry headwinds, not really due to the company itself."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"The management needs to be less conservative. Deliberate decision making is fine in some environments but at its core, E*TRADE is a technology company with a significant web property more than it is a brokerage firm."
