What do you like about working at TASC?
"I liked the engineers, the occasional telecommute, the trust I earned from the people I supported. I learned a tremendous amount working without a team, but in support of some very bright people."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"I really enjoyed working for TASC and the engineers I was surrounded by. If you can get in, it's a great place for finance people to get to know a lot about managing programs."
What don't you like about working at TASC?
"I got laid off even with the highest performance rating in my peer group"
What suggestions do you have for management?
"A good company should not get rid of employees if they are top performers, even if salary is relatively high."

"the relaxed environment here allows me to be more flexible"

"be yourself. show that you can contribute positively to the company goal"

"there's no development plan and career ladder/objectives are no defined"
What suggestions do you have for management?
"we need to become more modern and progressive. There are still a lot of old school thinking"

"I like that I'm given enough autonomy to do my job well."

"If you see a job you want, don't wait for it; apply for it now."

"The culture encourages too much competition between coworkers for budgets, time, resources, etc."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"I would try to break down the conservative culture and encourage more genuinely collaborative and innovative thinking throughout the company, with consummate rewards at all levels."

"Requirement management for the FBI CODIS application."
What do you like about working at Unisys?
"Very nice and professional people, interesting project (CODIS), famous client (FBI), great location (Reston Town Center)."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"I could give a few tips for the people interviewing to the CODIS team only: read about CODIS online to gain some understanding of the product."
What don't you like about working at Unisys?
"Excessive security procedures. Also I didn't have a chance to gather any new requirement because joined the team during the maintenance phase."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Use better system for the requirement management, the ReqPro (currently used) is outdated and doesn't serve our needs when we have to deliver the SRS/RTM to the client."
What do you like about working at Accenture?
"Work culture, environment, growth opportunities and travel opportunities. Perks."
What don't you like about working at Accenture?
"Compensation."
What do you like about working at Fifth Third Bank?
"I love my manager. The corporate policies are ridiculous though."

"Work in a front-line group. There appears to be more opportunity there."
What don't you like about working at Fifth Third Bank?
"In the IT department, they seem so focused on paperwork and policy. Tracking hours and filling out project plans don't benefit the company."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"I would adapt to a more modern environment. It's still an old school bank to a large extent. Also, raises should be larger."
What do you like about working at Boeing Defense, Space & Security?
"I get out on time, pay is okay, they're patriotic."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"If you start a career in aerospace, it is very hard to get out, and you will be branded a lifer who can only do aerospace finance. Many of the people have been there for years in the same position, and it's hard to get promoted. You are also subject to the political whims of congress for your programs."
What don't you like about working at Boeing Defense, Space & Security?
"The work is boring and tedious, there is no room for promotion due to the downsizing of managers and higher levels, many of the managers are either technically good, but have zero personality or have some personality, but are completely incompetent at doing their job. Managers who are idiots never seem to get fired, they just get moved somewhere else, etc."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Put more money into R&D, get out and meet your workers more, get rid of the unions whenever possible, get rid of all the mandatory training, etc."
What do you like about working at Aetna?
"Lot's of change in the marketplace right now. Interesting opportunities, cutting edge work, but it's bogged down by a very conservative and intense culture"
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Negotiate a strong starting salary, it'll be hard to rise from there. Try to stay away from the corporate functions and more towards the business areas."
What don't you like about working at Aetna?
"There isn't a lot of opportunity to work on personal projects or things that you feel might be beneficial. It's only work passed down from on high."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Try to cut out a lot of the red tape and process that bogs down the flow of work. Execute on culture change to make the workplace more innovative and free-thinking, thinking about what CAN be done rather than why we CAN'T do things."

"It's a young company with lots of fun internet experts. There are lots of opportunities to set up rules and run the show."

"Be honest, share your perceptive and don't be afraid to challenge."

"j2, in some degree due to its size, has quite serious office politics."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"There is lots of redundancy in the operation and analysis fields. It would improve the efficiency and facilitate decision making to consolidate those functions."

"people were friendly, helpful, hard working. Good salt of the earth people."

"Senior management is atrocious. Very selfish and self serving. No constraints on their spending, whether it is personal or business. Bad decisions seem to be a daily coffee to them. No one respects the top people in the company. In fact, people wish they would go away."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Stop the hugh debt load. Demand more diligence on senior mgmt expense reports. More powerful CFO. Let managers manage."
