"I really enjoyed what I was doing, Meeting with upper management or end-users to see how to make business processes better."

"Always be honest. Take responsibility and be accountable for actions and decisions."
What don't you like about working at Solvay?
"I don't work there anymore. I wished that I could have moved and continued with a telecommuting option, but they needed us in the office most of the time."

"Listen to your people. great ideas can come from anyone."

"Create an enterprise wide management solution that would unite the front, mid and back office silos"

"Everyday was new and exciting, I created the programs based on the clients needs to produce their cards."

"Be prepared for long days, weekends, short or no deadlines. Little to no training, must be able to catch on quick and think outside of the box. Wonderful manager and human resources."

"The lack of communication the president had with his staff."

"Communication is the key to every successful business along with execution. Listen to your employees, they may have a more efficient way."

"I felt that I had some importance in implementing SAP and had the opportunity to be creative in designing reports."

"It is not a company that you can work 40 years and retire unless I worked at the corporate headquarters."
What don't you like about working at VWR International?
"No career advancement since our one customer was the only reason for building a presence in the Portland area. Also no matter how hard you worked you were never rewarded for your efforts. The company had no stock option plans since it was privately owned by an investment firm."

"To understand more technical details in IT and Finance. He didn't truly understand what the projects entailed."

"The technology people are top notch and know their stuff."

"If you need to get some experience then they may be worth something because of the technical excellence but don't stay to long and you should prefer any other opportunity you might get."
What don't you like about working at SintecMedia?
"There is no real vision for where the company is or should be going. This leads to many short sighted decisions and no investments. Human resources are considered cattle, fully exchangeable and there is not even a hint of treating them with respect."

"Long term success in a software company is based on vision and human resources being happy at the company. It makes sense to at least pay some lip service to this."

"Working at CitI as a consultant is fun and pays well. Work-life, not so much."

"The people I work with are excellent, and I have the freedom to accomplish my work in my own way."

"People leave managers. So, that sums it up. I'm leaving because of poor management."

"They should be more proactive; they should have more consideration of what their employees recommend."

"The company is gone, was bought out a few years after I left."

"There was a lot of meeting time, which took away from work time. It could be difficult at times to get tasks done in a timely manner."

"Trust your employees, and empower them. They will do the right things, and get the job done."

"Make sure that you make clear your job description & see that they even have one in place instead of watering down your skill by making you do something non-descriptive."
