"Too much of career dependent on personal relationships and not ability. Several employees have inappropriate personal relationships with management."

What do you like about working at Amgen?
"Amgen really led the way with their generous compensation package. Also, the company promotes career development within the company in order to retain their employees."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Beware of this evil corporation as they are lobbying against a generic pathway for biologic therapeutics. This delay has cost the taxpayers millions, while also hindering competition and scientific progress in the industry. Amgen has a monopoly in several franchises for this reason."
What don't you like about working at Amgen?
"Amgen is on the way down as they started to cut benefits, salaries, and their workforce. They are lobbying against what would ultimately cause competition against their top selling biologics; because of this taxpayers are paying even more out-of-pocket."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Amgen has inconsistencies within the various therapeutic areas. This corporate conglomerate has also spent tens of millions on lobbyists in Washington, D.C.; hoping to promote favorable decisions toward Amgen which would ultimately hurt taxpayers."

"Be smart. Know your technologies well. Be ready to put in long hours."

"They are good to you as long as they need you - after that they will drop you like a hot cake. You have to work long and odd hours - poor work life balance."

"Look after your ppl - they are your assets. Overhaul the staffing process."
