"Since the SC job is more call center oriented I would only encourage individuals with that type of experience to apply and stress their metrics achievements. College graduates, sales pros need not apply."

"Micromanagement, too many meetings, transition from consultative sales to call center mentality."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Make decision which metrics and direction are valuable and stick with it. SC's were subject to too much information and never clear about what was the most important result. Only recently did SBF place value on revenue growth."

"Dealing with assorted books on the daily basics open my eyes to a wonderful experience of reading great books, which improved my life so many ways."

"Supervising a team of sales people that sold the best Childrens books and online data bases to schools and public libraries. I liked working at Scholastic because it gave me an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of children by making books available in classrooms and libraries."

"Hearing about the poor School budgets .Working with the Washington D.C.Public Schools Department of Education for the homeless .Opens your eyes."

"Keep touching the lives of children through good books,reading programs and online databases."
