"Good place to work if you are starting out. Full time staff are usually much older and part-time staff are made up of students as expected. Low pay and mediocre benefits (if any). PTOs are pretty good because it is a university. Upward mobility is hard unless you get higher degrees."
"I love working for Rutgers University Residence Life. I will never trade this experience for anything. I believe that I made lifetime friends and obtain work experience that will help me in the future. Learn to live with deadlines and be transparent when in comes to communicating with your supervisor."
"Not much to say here. Glad that I left the place."
"Rutgers University is not for those who are looking to innovate and expand business operations, tech infrastructure. The culture here is similar to that of big government and it makes room for inefficiency, low morale and indifference. There is so much potential to improve but there's not motivation to do so. I'm more suited for the startup community or corporate."
"It was a wonderful experience working for Rutgers."
"Working at Rutgers was great. Lots of opportunities and good people."
"Great people to work with, best benefits, just wish the pay was more and better raises."
"It is a good place to do research and PhD."
"I enjoyed working as a labs consultant at Rutgers."
"I have worked for Infosys Technologies Ltd."
"I've worked for Rutgers University since 2006 and found it a great place to work and do research. My research has allowed to perform hands on work in the field and gave me the opportunity to grow. I would recommend Rutgers University to any potential graduate students that are interested to further their careers in Computer Science."
"Rutgers is a great place to work, but upward mobility as a Post Doc is limited. I work mainly with doctors and nurses and it would be better for my current position if I had more engineers to work with. Overall, as a post doc I have much freedom to pursue my interests, but the experience of a post doc is very variable depending on the specific lab and PI. I would recommend it."
"I work at Rutgers iTV Studio on a freelance basis. I know many of the people who work here and other freelancers from being at NJN. From being there several times and knowing my co-workers I am comfortable with the environment. The facility is well stocked with state of the art equipment (HD Cameras, switchers, lights and editing). I would work here full time if they would have me."
"Winlab, Rutgers is a nice place to start any research in the field of communications or human computer interaction. I am enjoying my job here."
