Research Manager at Source Interlink

"Lack of communication was my biggest issue. Dealing with advertising sales representative across all offices across the U.S., some people would create their own data and then ask me to verify it, with out a source! What did I love Everyone respected me and knew I was knowledgeable in what I did and trusted my every audience, coverage, composition and Index statistic as well as keeping track of circulation, page views and unique visitor stats and keeping a history of it."

Research Manager at Chevy Chase Bank
in Columbia, MD

Please give us a one liner to describe this review.

"As being an insider at Chevy Chase, I was privy to poor management decisions, a laissez-faire and lackadaisical attitude towards unproductive and lazy employees; replete with non-compliance of many privacy issues and a high potential for bank loss and law suites. Not a good place to work, learn, and grow."

What do you like about working at Chevy Chase Bank?

"The branch network had excellent customer service skills. However the back office did not keep up with the branch growth, and customers were unhappy with customer service once it was placed in the hands of back office."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"The branch network use to be a highly regarded area to work. Branch personnel was seen as very important employees as they were the ones who sold the services and faced the customers. Working in the branch environment would be advisable. There is much stress placed on the staff and branch management to cross sell however very often this hard work was recognized with excellent compensation. This is not the case with back office. I would advise to stay away from that area of Chevy Chase. Hopefully with the purchase of the bank, the back office at Chevy Chase will cease it's operations and moved to Capital One's Operations area."

What don't you like about working at Chevy Chase Bank?

"Upper and middle Management was highly unethical. The bank in general did not keep up with the growth of the bank, the systems were archaic using many manual operations, there was a great lack of communication, and a great deal of favoritism was displayed. Many back office areas had high turnover due to the negative impact of these poorly managed areas, and an acceptable level of production was compromised. The general atmosphere was disorganized and chaotic. Several losses were taken due to the very poor management in several areas of operations."

Research Manager at iHealth Technologies
in Atlanta, GA

Please give us a one liner to describe this review.

"Have to sit in a desk all day and write rules. Too many chiefs. Good old boy club."

What do you like about working at iHealth Technologies?

"Something new. Found new avenues of reviewing and staying on top of government payers. More exposure to Insurance companies outside of GA and SC."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Be prepared for a long interview process and a test (logical thinking). Alot of people strugged with the reading comprehension part of the test from the outsource company. Have to go through Supervisors, Managers, and Director. Have to go back to high school days in this interview."

What don't you like about working at iHealth Technologies?

"I was accustom to working to get patient and drs paid. This was a switch on what I was accustom to doing."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Too many managers, makes it hard to move on in a dept. Keeps staff frustrated when managers are not coming together. Director needs to tone it down and listen to her staff and be more aware of what motivates them. Had 1o people resign in a month after Director came on board. HR needs to be more involved as to why this is happening. Did not have a turn over in two years until this happened."
