"The pay is great, but the safety culture is horrible. If you are happy to make tons of money to keep your mouth shut then you will fit into this company very well."

"I hated the little support I received from from the management team. I had to find/write/develop my own safety program. Their safety manual copied from OSHA stating ...the employer will develop programs for... without stating what the programs were. I was completely on my own when it came to company policies and proceedures."

"Quit celebrating the fact that you got away with only a $25,000 fine for killing five people within 13 months."

"The staff I work with are very dedicated despite great adversity and little respect received from the administration and members of the faculty. Being able to pursue my interests, research new technology/methods, experiment without concern for failure, health benefits."

"Top heavy and counter-productive bureaucracy often makes it near impossible to get work done. No pay raises or opportunities for promotion. Salary well below industry/geographic average for my title and experience. Being looked down upon and treated like a second class citizen, because I'm not faculty or possess a doctorate. RPI is very slow to change anything for the better. Most who work there have had every drop of enthusiasm they ever had for their jobs beaten out of them by the administration and are now just biding their time until retirement."

"Take care of your employees and they will take care of you. See to the their needs at home and on the job, pro-actively seek their advice on ways to make things better, treat them with respect, and they will be loyal, happy, and productive."
