"On the whole, ARHS is a great company with a great attitude. There are two or three business departments that continue as pockets of incompetence."

"ARHS is a nurses' and physicians' hospital. Look for jobs that deal with direct patient care. Recently ARHS has partnered to become a medical education facility and so growth is occurring rapidly."

"The management of a handful of business departments think that punch-cards are still the wave of the future and that the web is just a fad."

"Management needs to pay attention to national trends and academic studies pointing them out of the dark ages and into the 21st century."
"Company employed about 300 employees and had an annual turnover rate of about 28%. The company is owned by the City of Troy and is subsidized by at $1.5M annual tax payment. Like any company, there are both good and not-so-good things. GOOD: Senior management is open and transparent about the financial state and upcoming changes in healthcare law and how that may impact the hospital. NOT-SO-GOOD: The high turnover rate makes it difficult to feel safe."
