While there were some tension with coworkers due to the fast paced environment that comes with food service, management always found a way to make everyone happy. It was also easy to move up and interchange positions as long as you worked hard and were dedicated to your current position. For instance, I was able to start as a host/busser and work my way up to serving and bartending during my time there."

"I would take more of an interest in my employees lives rather than just meeting numbers."

"As economy weakens, management tends to do things that puts more pressure on servers to perform."

"Find alternate ways to save labor. Locations of restaraunts in areas that more people will come."

"It will take your body a few months to adjust, but you'll be fine."

"No break even with double shifts. This takes a toll on the body after awhile."

"Encourage rather than yell. Try not to let the few bad employees ruin your day (or just fire them)."

"It helped me get acclimated to dealing with new customers on a daily basis. Also, I learned how to listen to customers wants and complaints, acknowledge them, explore possible solution and resolve the issue the best way possible."

"If you are apply to work here as a waiter or waitress, this company offers flexible work schedules, and will test your knowledge and abilities to work with new customers day in and day out."

"Working in the city I was located in, and the postion I held as a waiter, offered no room for advancement."

"I would suggest better marketing internally towards their employees. if they would promote a more enjoyable work environment, they would have happier employees, lower employee turnover, and happier guests."

"Lots of teamwork, hardworking and honesty in your answers that is what counts in any job."

"Once they moved you out to a remote area with a commitment for 2 years it was hard to get back to where you were before (I was asked to go to another restaurant with the promise to return back they had problems getting other managers to go to the middle point between two states."

"Look deeper into what is right for your performers and not just what benifits yourself as you lose long term hardworking individuals."

"Sometime the people we would serve. To this day I still do not understand why people can be so harsh."
