"We seemed to get more and more wore with no more pople or time to do the work."

"Try working in some of the jobs in the company. Don't just manage blindly."

"Give the directors and VPs more autonomy and tie that to performance."

"At Qwest people are identified at certain point to be leaders, regardless of their capacities. This ends up being a situation where management does not have the respect of subordinates."

"Make sure it is a position that will not be absorbed in Louisiana later."

"Office politics run that place and you need to know who plays 'games' and who doesn't."

"Hire more stringently and not just fill a spot with whom ever is most convienent."

"They had great benefits. They paid for the first half of my Master's degree... that is before they eliminated my department and laid me off (actually they waited until I found another job so they didn't have to pay me a package)"

"Focus on process, being a task master and execution. They don't have time or room for innovation so... skip that part"

"Their management team isn't very in tune with the market... even their product managers seemed to lack an understanding of what the market wants/needs."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Reorg from the product manager level and up on the product and strategy side. You have direct, active access to a huge audience of SMB owners who need lots of different marketing services. You are failing them (as well as your stock holders) hard on your limited product offerings and delivery of value... you obviously don't understand the web and you can't take off the blinders and see what you have."

"It's a slowely dying company, no career advancement, little money for raises, rare promotions."
