They do have vey high standards and people that expect to get something for nothing will not prosper at QT. You will get back all that you invest in the company."

"Apply anyone can be hired just make sure you like dealing with customers. We are expanding growing and will keep having movement in the company. There is unlimited support here."

What don't you like about working at QuikTrip?

"No lunch breaks, quick restroom breaks, always on your feet."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Cut us some slack from time to time were always under pressure to get 100% even when we give 110%. Improve Dental PPO insurance"

"You supervise the people who do yiour evaluatons. If you meke them work, you are bad."

"Do you have a prescription to xanex and do you have low self esteem. You have to deal with alot of arrogant people, and I am not refering to the customers."

What don't you like about working at QuikTrip?

"What freedom, I am a robot. I am always blindsided by something else to make be feel inadequate."

"Make the environment more welcoming to people of all ages and make sure that employee saftey is not sacfriced for bottom line;"

What don't you like about working at QuikTrip?

"I got a job at QuikTrip as an Assistant Manager after I finished graduate school. I worked there for a year and a half and got a pretty good grasp of the ins and outs. I worked incredibly hard while I was there. Yet praise was incredibly scarce and practically nonexistent. I worked nights for a year and worked at over 40+ stores as an ERP. Even when I had the store spotless, the manager the next morning would try to find something wrong. I understand having high standards, but the demand for perfection was crushing many times. The assistant manager schedules there are horrible. They range from 46-50 hours a week and there are no lunch or breaks during your shift. Each shift runs between 8-10 hours. If you have a family or outside social life, forget it. I worked every other shift other than overnightseven the holy grail of QT, the Manager's schedule (weekends off) and was still very disappointed. I felt incredibly overlooked and used while being there. I felt unappreciated no matter how hard I worked. I was simply one cog in the machine that made the store run. Other managers often put others down. I never understood why so many people claimed to have such high job satisfaction while being there. Finally I realized that the way to be easily promoted is to brown-nose. Say the right thing, sell your soul to the company, and you will be promoted quickly. Luckily I was able to get out of QT and got a job in my field and am incredibly happy. The stress and overload was not worth it."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Treat employees better. There is more to retention than pay and benefits. More opportunities for time freedom and recognition will go far."

"After a while it turns into a job where you feel like you are just cleaning up after adults"

"Allow more time to complete tasks and have more clerks on a shift"

"For men, cut your hair and remove any highlights. They prefer clean-cut, typical soldier looking individuals."

"The top management had changed a couple years after working there and they were too worried about the bottom line and not the customers and employees anymore."

"Keep to your word. They would promise something that they never planned on following through with so that they could keep their retention rate looking good."
