"The company values people. They show genuine concern for employees and pay better than anyone in the industry and are very liberal with time off (paid vacations are earned, but you start with a 15 day balance to use at your discretion). They do have vey high standards and people that expect to get something for nothing will not prosper at QT. You will get back all that you invest in the company."

"Fast paced, lots of interaction with customers and employees, and safety."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Don't be afraid to say I don't know or I don't meet all of the requirements. I know that I don't meet all of the requirements to the T but I know that my knowledge personality and skill will benefit this company and I am a great motivator. I know how to talk with customers and help them figure out the answers they need. Part of customer service is not jsut having the answer, but figuring out the answer together with the customer."

What don't you like about working at QuikTrip?

"Being on call to travel 150 miles roundtrip and not being compensated, having a fluctuating product market, working overnights from 9:30pm to 7 am by myself."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Be honest with your coworkers whether they are superior to you or not. Share your thoughts and ideas, take criticism for what it is. Make the best of every situation, enjoy your job and try to have at least one comedic moment everyday. Smile at everyone you see at least once everyday. a smile can mean the difference between success and failure. Always have an open door."
