"The varied projects allowed for construction knowledge improvement. Discovering better ways to complete tasks was encouraged."

"Know what salary you want to start with and add 10 percent. Increases are few and far between. Talk to who you will be reporting to and make sure you are not more qualified or experienced, you will not last long."

"Entrenched and hand picked managers have the ability and backing to block promotions of individuals viewed as threats. Still to much of old boy network."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Rotate Branch managers. Allow for more input from the Employee Development personnel about people who can progress in the company. Separate immediate supervisors from progress interviews. Use unknown people from other locations to conduct reviews to eliminate bias."
