"If you can handle the stress from mgt, then go for it, dealing with debtors is easy, dealing with the management at this place is where the stress comes into play."

What don't you like about working at Portfolio Recovery Associates?

"Childish managers playing grab fanny on the call center floor and using profane terms like douchebag and asshat to each other in front of reps, and then preaching professionalism as a practice. The policies are there to trap all but the absolute perfect so that the company can use discipline as a method of reducing overhead costs in labor. They have zero sensitivity or objectiviy when it comes to individuals."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Follow the spirit of the policy rather then desperately trying to impress your superiors by finding ways to enforce it."

"The reps get paid more and the managers get paid based off their teams performance so if there is a bad month reach does happen is it collections. The managers look for ways to make money by getting rid of good employees."

"Study Business. Listen to your employees. Employees keep a business going. TRUST me when I say this half the managers can not make the money the reps have to."
