"Pretty laid back company with a nice work culture. The job itself isn't too demanding however, the systems in place are complex and require a good amount of research and reverse engineering to get the job done."

"Paccar has several divisions and too many ERP systems. Most are managed in react to emergencies manner. The division I worked for had a good handle on how to manage EDI more proactively. They are having problems implementing SAP to the others divisions and struggle getting EDI implemented."

Senior Accountant

"Paccar is not a company I would recommend working for."

What do you like about working at PACCAR?

"The role I stepped into was process improvement which I love and they promoted getting lean belt / six sigma training."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"-Be yourself -Show your enthusiasm to work for the company and why. -Promote your strengths and how they would benefit Paccar -Be sure to explain why they should hire you for the position, how well you fit in with the company and that specific position."

What don't you like about working at PACCAR?

"Very conservative company that is traditionalist and demands things done accordingly. Also a few management issues. For one there was a lot of micro managing. Two, when I went to immediate Manager for feedback, clarification or questions, on whatever project I was currently working on, I was given the impression everything looked fine as is; however when the two of us would meet with senior management, the immediate manager's entire attitude changed, suddenly having all these bright ideas. Making individual look bad, while building her own image."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Less micro managing, trust the people you hire to perform their job. Senior manager need to be more accessible to disclose issues between immediate supervisors Allow differences of opinions and changes. Allow for a more laid back environment"
