3.5Can't believe your statement that service managers are among those who rate their experience highly since it is the most demanding job in field operations with the poorest pay for a salaried position. The company over tasks those managers to death. You rarely have time to plan because of the incredible number of small duties on your plate which increase throughout the day due to customer concerns, "emergencies", etc. Be prepared to work 55 hours a week. On salary. Sales is a position that always needs filling. They hire and fire sales staff like you go through napkins at a rib joint. Decent company but don't settle - keep looking for greatness and don't stop here.
3.3I’ve worked for Orkin for less than a year now and I would say that they have a good work ethic and a good team comradery.
The pay structure is fair and you do make an hourly plus a production plus they do push for sales so you do make some commissions as well.
I would have to say that communication would need some work between the management to the technicians to make the job flow much smoother and the work between the employees less stressful.
Also the system has many issues that needs to be addressed and when brought up does not seem to really be of concern since it is supposedly a better system then what was in place previously. Either way, Management should be taking constructive criticism and inserting that into areas that are in need, such as suggestions about the system used by the technicians daily.
Be loyal to your good employees, Do not micromanage your excellent sales reps. Upper management needs to think about their employees and company well-being more than their bonuses. Care about your good employees.
