"I enjoyed the constant tasks that I was assigned and how it was left up to me alone to come up with the best way to go about completing the tasks, presenting the idea to my employer, and then implementing it. When you are given a task and you have all the freedom to be creative and finish it as you see fit, it gives you a strong sense of pride and accomplishment."

"What do I love Being exposed to new technologies and challenges. What do I hate Having to deal with users every once in a while. I'd rather just be assigned to projects."

"I love the complexity and innovation required o make systems work together and to pioneer new ideas to make the workplace more efficient and economic. The hate would be how under appreciated IT is in general. Nobody knows what the man behind the curtain does. He could be a superhero, but all they know is their computer ran slow that one time and it was his fault."

"I love being an architect to design the future of Information technology. I hate that most awesome deeds go unnoticed as when things are done right nobody notices, Often only your mistakes have a noticeable impact."

"My favorite part of the job is when something is going wrong and needs to be fixed right away. I enjoy the challenge of working under fire. I especially like it when something I don't know well malfunctions and I have an opportunity to learn and work under fire. The only thing I don't like about the job is I am very proactive and don't get a lot of chance to be reactive so when I get that chance I enjoy it."

"I started as a subcontractor Network Administrator Trainee making $22.00/hour. After 8 months I became a permanent employee at $26.00/hour with last promotion I'm at $28.00/hour. I would be a happy camper if my family and friends didn't live in Dallas, Texas. It's been great startup opportunity but I'm ready for a move."

"I liked having the latitude to research and suggest network and desktop upgrade and to participate in maintaining the overall health of the local network. I wish I could have been given access to systems and services in other locations of the network so that I could suggest performance tuning as there were often strange lags and inconsistencies I would run across between network nodes."
