"I enjoyed the constant tasks that I was assigned and how it was left up to me alone to come up with the best way to go about completing the tasks, presenting the idea to my employer, and then implementing it. When you are given a task and you have all the freedom to be creative and finish it as you see fit, it gives you a strong sense of pride and accomplishment."

"I like the challenge it gives me. It gets me thinking and I really enjoy problem solving. Plus, I believe networking it the fundamental of technology so I can expand to any field i wish to pursue. Time to time it can be frustrating when I can't get the solution right away but that's with any IT jobs so it's fine."

"On one hand, I enjoy working with people and solving their computer-related problems. I find the challenge of preventing security issues most stimulating. On the other hand, the prospect of not being able to move up and build a career is very disheartening. I often feel that the management does not have the employees' best interests and career goals in mind."

"I love the challenging environment in the IT world. As the System/Network Administrator, I am faced every single day with different issues. I seek ways to finding solutions on my own, however, this doesn't stop me from asking advice from another experienced individual. I love working with a team of experienced professionals!"

"Being a Network Administrator/Desk top support for the company has a lot of responsibilities and challenges, and that make me love what I do. What I hate about network administrator that they are days that there is nothing to do, makes the day go slow."

"Being a network administrator could be fulfilling. There is innovation in the industry if you look hard enough to find out, and truly interesting things are happening (e.g. SDN). The boring thing about it is that in many companies, such as mine, it's underfunded and poorly performing. I'm moving into mobile development."

"I love that my responsibilities cover all the technologies my employer currently utilizes that keeps us interested. I hate that since IT department tackles any and all tasks in the company, I am stretched very thinly on all tasks and cannot focus myself in one particular field to become a master, instead of a jack of all trades."
