"I liked the flexible work schedule, friendly co-workers and a boss with a hands off, let him run with it management style."

"The comapny uses situational interviewing, expecting applicants to answer in a STAR format. For those unfamiliar with the term STAR stands for situation, thinking, action and results."

What don't you like about working at National Grid?

"Upper managment decided that it was in the company's best interest to outsource IS and only keep project managers and contact managers in house."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"My opinion is that people with up-to-date technical skills and practical IS project experince is resource that ever mid-sized and large company should keep in-house. I would work to bring that expertise back in house or risk a falling out with your contractors causing a void in the support of your IS platforms."

"Technology is very behind the times. The infrastructure makes it difficult to be efficient."
