2.7 I've worked at Mohegan sun for over 10 years, 7 of which in my current position. Business for the last several years has been slipping, causing several layoffs within the last 5 years, and strong urgings from upper management to reduce employee counts over a year before that. It is very difficult to see any sort of future in this company at the moment.

4.1 Mohegan Sun’s greatest aspect? They care for their customers. They boast about this even further by depleting the title “customer” and transforming it to a warmer welcome of calling people who are willing to give the facility a chance a guest. Your constantly greeted with a smile and overwhelmed with beaming customer service reps willing to help. This can give consumers ease as they gamble, shop, dine, or a simple tour. Their goal is to make you feel at home from beginning to end.

3.4 I've worked for Mohegan Sun for 8 years. Since the recession in 2008, the resort workforce has been reduced by several hundred. The focus of the tribe has moved on to diversification in other states and the Connecticut location has been impacted by this. Job stability and security can be questionable at times.

Mohegan Sun is Connecticut’s premier entertainment resort and the second largest casino the United States. The development of the now famous hotel and casino super center was first started in 1992 by LMW Investments of Connecticut, Slavik Suites Inc. and RJH Development. Forming the Trading Cove Associates (TCA), the three companies helped the Mohegan tribe gain official recognition from the federal government and the permission to build and operate the Mohegan Sun casino.

The company’s headquarters are located in Uncasville, Connecticut, and run by the Mohegan Tribal Gaming Authority. Today, the Mohegan Sun is a major tourist destination and one of Connecticut’s most popular attractions. The sprawling complex is home to three world-class casinos, three large entertainment centers, a luxury hotel tower and a large retail shopping center.
