MGM Grand Employee

"I've worked here since 2012 and it's a good place to get your foot in the door on the Las Vegas Strip. It's a smaller property that is a condo / hotel and is non-gaming and non-smoking, both a plus in my eyes. The downside is that there isn't any "casino money" added to the budget equation for the property. They do ok with what they've got to work with though. The downside with being at a smaller property is that you can cap out how high up the career chain you can advance. Many people start out here but end up leaving in order to get a promotion to a higher position or pay raise. In some departments someone either has to leave or die in order for you to move up. ;-) My advice, get hired, get in and get good experience and move on to greener pastures."

"I have worked at the MGM for now over 26 years and am currently a day one employee. I have seen so many major changes to this company and assisted it making this a home for thousands of employees. Incentives are good with different retirement packages depending which department you work in. Company promotes diversity and has many charitable organizations they help."
