"I've worked at Medtronic since 2006. The company has weathered some economic turmoil over that time including a recession as well as significant changes in the health care landscape. Overall the management has done a good job of managing the corporation. I'd say that one downside is that due to these economic factors the company is growing slowly while shrinking the number of employees, which makes it difficult for career advancement. The message is stay the course and things will get better, but when."
"I had worked at Medtronic for 9 years. The company had a good culture to promote learning and exploring. The management was generally very professional and managed personnel/project well. I also had good focus on customers and market. People are generally nice and easy to work with. The flexible work schedule was good for both company and employees. The downside is layoff, especially once the nice work is done. It is also not easy to let fresh air in."
"Typical American corporation. Treats its employees in the way typical American corporations do. No further elaboration needed."
"Company employs more than a 1,000 employees in PR. Good place to work. Very professional. Opportunities to grow and development available."
"There is limited opportunity for career growth for women."
"Great place to work. Great environment. Great people."
"Great quality place to work. Really enjoyable."
"I have worked for Medtronic as an employee and a consultant. They are a fair company. The only reason I rated them as fair on job opportunities is I am a consultant so I have no opportunity to move up or advance in the organization."
"Very talented and dedicated coworkers. Improvements in interdepartmental communication would be very beneficial for continued success. This company has a genuine concern for bettering the quality of life for those who use their products."
"Medtronic is a good company to work for but I can't move up any higher with the company."
