"The experience is very good you learn alot in a short amount of time, you manage up to 20 guys at a time and learning how to be as efficient as possible"

"The long hours and the pay raises aren't very much. Working 60-80 hours a week on salary isn't much of a salary"

"Cut back on hours and the safety policies are so extreme its hard to get anything done or not done by the current up to date by the hour safety rules"

"The senior managers do not listen to their subordinates nor are they open to new ideas on how to run daily operations."

"The engineering department wasn't respected as much as other areas of the company. Not much area for career growth."

"I would have preferred my own office with a telephone to conduct client/vendor conversations in lieu of a cubical and sharing the department's one phone. It would have been nice to have vision included in our health package."

"afer two years just before new year day it went into bankruptcy, we all went to work and the doors where lock by the bank. No one knew"

"I Co-op at Eastman for 1 year, and worked full time for 4 weeks before a company wide reduction of force eliminated my job. Eastman is a great place to work in terms of interesting work in an industrial environment."

"IBM provided a lot of project management opportunities where suppliers get involved."
What do you like about working at IBM?
"I like working with suppliers and bringing a concept product to production. I liked working with other designers and the release system because the method employed for Mechanical Engineers was very quick. Changes in design were quick do and to approve. Most of all the scope of work was clear."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Don't get involved with the politics and keep your personal life at home."
What don't you like about working at IBM?
"Politics gets in the way. So there is a lot of groups that go against each other."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Localize the discipline pools so that all groups can draw from the same technical sources. This will not only reduce cost but allow growth and exposure to the employee."

"Honeywell has a lot of electronic packaging and management work with excellent technology growth."
What do you like about working at Honeywell?
"I liked working on electronic packaging with thermal analysis and then sizing heat sinks. I also like working with PWB and the mechanical engineering applications required with relations to military performance and specifications."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Smile, and make sure when you work 40 hours, your clocked hours are above 40 hours."
What don't you like about working at Honeywell?
"There is no opportunity for growth. They use a system called 9 square, which is retabulated before performance reviews. This can make you a top performer for the whole year, and then on the last day you can be the worst."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Make sure that time at a performance level is also calculated into the performance review."

"Heath Tecna provided me a great atmosphere to work on product installations."
What do you like about working at Heath Tecna?
"I liked working with projects that dealt with installations on the aircraft, working on complete aircraft installs down to the monuments."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"You will need to know a lot about customer service and how to change hats on the job. There are several tools and its best to be width versatile."
What don't you like about working at Heath Tecna?
"The amount of rework of projects."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Reduce the number of CAD tools to 2 primary systems for all departments and not work in others at all. This will reduce the employee skill set and place experts in key areas where needed."

"Not the most challenging of jobs, but very comfortable and flexible with lots of opportunities to learn/experience different projects."

"The variety of work, and the flexibility allowed on when you worked your hours."

"As always, ask lots of questions and focus on what's important to you over what is presented as the most exciting parts of the job."
What don't you like about working at Perot Systems?
"Most of the work I had there was not much of a challenge, so I didn't learn as much as I'd hoped."
