"Ask questions regarding how the position came about. Ask questions about how many people are going to support you."

"The CEO was too envolved with technical decision making and really hurt techical advancements."

"This is a tough question because managment personnel is quickly disposed of by the CEO if they are not yes men."

"I enjoy the challenge of designing new equipment to meet both process requirements and operator ergonomics requirements."

"Confidence is key. They want to feel like you will be able to make the correct decision quickly. Also, teamwork is emphasized so be sure to speak about times where you were part of a large team."

"I dislike the lack of communication between management and employees. Changes often occur without warning or seeking buy-in from engineers."

"Hold meetings to communicate upcoming changes. Hold people accountable for not completing tasks on time rather than shifting burdens around."

"I've had great managers and suggest they continue to value and respect their employees as they currently do."

"It was restrictive in some ways but also a good opportunity to learn engineering skills."

"Carefully review HR policies & benefits, because they are unyielding on the rules. In particular, if you don't care about a lot of vacation, plan to stick around for multiple decades, like all music, and don't mind the decor, it might be just right for you."

"Benefits and HR policies were not great. We had no flex time, 10 vacation days per year, sick days count as vacation, hours 8-5 mandatory, and no pay for overtime."

"I wouldn't be condescending and treat people like they're in elementary school."
