"Please come appropriately dressed for an interview, and always study the company."

"McDonalds doesn't have the right ethics in place when it comes to nutrition. It uses very poor quality ingredients."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"I would introduce healthier options on the menu. Prices should be increased a little bit if it means using better ingredients, because the ingredients McDonald's uses are really awful. Thank God the food is cooked well!!!"

"I did not like the idea of not being able to grow much within McDonald's."

"Management should believe in their employees under them but not expect more than their title shows."

"I don't like much at McDonald's, but I do like the fact that I get free food during my lunch break."

"Be yourself. Don't kiss anyone's ass. Do your work and don't cause any trouble."

"I wish the work schedule was more consistent every week. I want to work the same hours on the same days."

"I would be more fair with the hours to my crew."

What do you like about working at McDonald's?

"I like the pay. But even then sometimes you don't get enough hours to even make rent. This job is the worst: low pay, long days, terrible customers, and ignorant managers who break labor laws every day. The only good thing I have ever received from working here besides money is making friends with good people. Most of our crew members are awesome. I can't say the same for the management. The supervisors also demand too much. Some days there are only two of us in the front and we are busy. The supervisors still expect us to do suggestive sales. Sorry, it is humanly impossible to do every step right when you have to take orders, make the orders, take the money, and then hand it all out to the customer while smiling and thinking of sales. I have lost count of the number of times I have had to work through my breaks."

"Don't hire any felons please. We already have enough immature students working here."

What don't you like about working at McDonald's?

"There are many reasons that are not so good about working at McDonald's: the pressure to make higher sales, making sure all items are well stocked, making sure the customer has a great experience, and earning a good grade for secret shopper. I have to put on a fake smile and voice at work because apparently my normal voice isn't friendly enough, and my real smile isn't wide enough. Customers are extremely rude and demanding. When your coworkers slack off, you have to work twice as hard. I worked for this company in high school, which wasn't too bad, and then I came back and worked at a different nearby store 2 years later when I came home to save money for school. Now where I work, the work environment is unpleasant, with lazy managers and an uneducated store manager who doesn't speak enough English to pass an elementary state standards test. If you live in the northern central coast of California, the job opportunities are limited, which is the only reason why I still work here. My advice is, if there is somewhere else besides McDonald's accepting applications, then apply there, because if you work here, you will definitely not be Lovin' It."

"Schedule enough people to cover breaks, and make sure that all employees receive a fair number of hours. Happy employees mean happy customers."

"I like meeting new people, being able to work with others, and being a leader."

"Honesty is important wherever you interview, and also being flexible."

What don't you like about working at McDonald's?

"There is no growth potential at McDonald's, and I am at the point of my career where growth is important."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Time management is everything. You need to be able to balance what's important in life, such as family. Working hard is very important especially in your career path, but don't forget the other important things."

What do you like about working at McDonald's?

"The only part of my job that I have actually enjoyed in my four years of working at McDonald's was the stability. I always knew I would have a job because people always want fast food."

"Do not go into this job thinking that it's a lifetime career. The turnover rate at this job is extremely high. People come and go weekly."

What don't you like about working at McDonald's?

"The compensation for the work involved is not nearly equal. When I work, I usually have difficulty walking afterward because I work so hard. This job should pay at least 10 dollars an hour."

"Treat employees with more respect, and pay in relation to the work requested."

"I think the only thing I enjoyed at McDonald's was the customer interaction."

"A job is a job, but always keep looking for something more than this."

"They would always schedule me on days I asked off 2-3 weeks in advance. It was a minimum wage job. The workers were immature and would always try to get others in trouble."

"I disliked the work hours, and some of my superiors who didn't like to carry their own weight."

"Employ honest, hard-working people who have the company's best interest at heart."

"I like the vast scope. McDonald's is a large, international company, which provided me with some nice work experience."

"McDonald's may provide excellent possibilities, but you have to be lucky regarding your coworkers, and always work hard. Make sure people are aware of the work you do."

What don't you like about working at McDonald's?

"A few people who are with McDonald's for too long and have settled on a very comfortable pay don't have the drive to truly put in effort and work. There are quite a few small groups of high-ranking employees who don't always follow the rules, but keep each other off the company's radar."

"Truly hold each person accountable for their work and behavior. Have more rigorous but fair employee reviews."
