What do you like about working at Martin Sprocket & Gear?

"The people other than my boss were a joy to work for."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"My advice would be not to go interview. Pay is terrible and the upper management is terrible. They will continually lie to you about your job. You will get hired for one thing and do another job. DO NOT WORK FOR THIS COMPANY. THERE ARE OTHER COMPANIES TO WORK FOR."

What don't you like about working at Martin Sprocket & Gear?

"When hired I was suppose to be a sales agent and help out with customer service. After my first day they threw me in the warehouse. I was repeatedly told I will be moving inside to work sales very soon. Nothing came about it. In January 2012 I was experiencing a lot of mouth pain. I went to the dentist and had my wisdom teeth pulled. The next day I brought in my doctors notes excusing me from work for a couple of days. To ensure I was able to work safely I even went to the companies doctor to be medically cleared. After being medically cleared the company then wanted to follow a disability claim for missing work for 2 days and take a drug test. After taking my drug test, passing it and filing for disability I decided to take an interview. The company found out dismissed me because I missed too many days of work and didnt value my job."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"In reality I missed 2 days for having my wisdom teeth removed and another day because I had pink eye, which I still went to work but was sent off. This company is an absolute joke. They dont care about their employees and frankly couldnt give a crap about you. You are required to work a year without missing a day to receive just a week of vacation time. They could give a crap about your needs. I pretty much lost my job, which was a blessing in disguise, because I decided to get mouth surgery and relieve the pain I had in my mouth. Unfortunatley some of the people that work for this company are really good, nice, likeable people. You are just a pawn in their chess game. They will continually lie to you about your job duties and what they can promise you in the future."
