"After doing several researches, I came to the realization that accountants make a lot more money than hotel general accountants. As general accountants in hospitality we more or less work as bookkeepers and assistants to controllers. We don't practice the actual accounting principles.
Having an AS in Finance, I was hoping to be exposed to real accounting work.
For the tasks the general accountants handle , I believe the salary is reasonable."
