"I have been working for Luxottica as a contractor for 5 months. I like my team I work with and my supervisor. It is a laid back atmosphere and not micromanaged. You know what is expected of you and it's your job to get it done."

"The company feels like it was once this powerhouse or good and awesome. They really pushed and loved their work with their charity and while it had its changes, they seemed to be in the best interests of the company as a whole. Since the return of the founder it's felt less structured and focused. Since the beginning of the year I've had 40+ organizational announcements in my inbox, and that's only the ones announced. Many of the changes being made seem like they are the whim of the founder. It's utter chaos and it's a great way to burn everyone out, especially if you eliminate one only to pile their work on another without offering anything but a "that's how it is"."

What do you like about working at Luxottica?

"I think it had alot of opportunities if you were in the right department. It is large enough that there are alot of open positions you can move around."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Ask about the hours and the department culture because it does vary around the very large building."

What don't you like about working at Luxottica?

"Unfortunally, if you are in certian departments you are expected to work ALOT of hours and it can be hard to transfer out."

"Spend more time with the people so you know what the are capabile of."

"I would encourage others to compare salaries of brand competitors."

"The company provided little room for growth, especially for minorities."

"I would suggest that they investigate promoting from within the company."
