Lubrizol Employee

"I've worked for Lubrizol since August 2016. As a whole company, it is great for its employees in terms of benefits and opportunities. One needs to seek to go towards the corporate headquarters labs in Ohio in order to reach a good spot and avoid some of local plant politics."

Lubrizol Employee

"I worked for Lubrizol for 4 years. The work was enjoyable, and the employees in my department were very dedicated to their work. The reason that I left was that there were no opportunities to advance and no career development. People tended to remain in one position for several years, and other than the plant manager position, there was very little movement. I did not want to remain stagnant in my career, but I did gain a lot of experience in my time there."

Instrument Technician

"I have worked in the Painesville plant for 18 months as an instrument technician contractor. My coworkers were great, the work was horribly interesting, and the compensation was better than I have ever known. But, the hours are long in the instrument shop--and you may be a contractor a long time with no plan or criteria for getting hired."

Lubrizol Employee

"I worked as a Help Desk Specialist, Level II, for this company as a contractor. The managers were great, and so was the working environment, as well as the coworkers in the help desk. There were many duties and responsibilities to the job. However, the training was short, with constant interruptions, and 1/2 of the responsibilities were left for me to research and learn on my own. The software to handle the tickets was web based, which had a time-out feature, which caused many lost open tickets."
