"The building is nice. Some of the people are nice. The owner is trying to make it a place where you want to come to work."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"If you are looking to make a lot of money fast as a funder you will do great if you leave your knowledge of the industry at the door. They do not do follow traditional practices as you would at a banking institution. Good luck."

What don't you like about working at loanDepot.com?

"I don't like the face that one department runs the entire company. You have a group of people that came from their start-up company and because they are friends or part of the lending tree group they have been given higher up positions. They in most cases do not have the qualification to hold that position and would never get that position is applied at a real bank."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Train your manager to know industry standards and guidelines! Don't think that simply because you got away with it at lending tree 6 yeas ago that it is going to fly with the new regulation set out today. Don't make statement like everyone interpret RESPA differently. No we are all to follow the same rules and not make them up based on the situation at hand."
