"I love the hours and the ability to work remotely. The amount of work, time and dedicated I've put into this will be greatly missed, and I know I will likely never find a position with the amount of flexibility that I currently have. I do enjoy being provided with a free lunch, pool tables, air hockey, the ability to utilize Mac OS X as my work station and the ability to not be micro-managed. I enjoy my co-workers, and the laid back environment of our offices."

"I love that I get to work with several technologies to get things working for everyone within a timely manner. I'm still new and so fascinated by how all the technologies work together. I want to continue to learn more and help others while doing that.I do not like it when others come to me for help when I'm on a tight deadline to a future going project done and high energy ready for the project, but that's a normal day I guess. Still doesn't keep me from this position."

"Honestly I do love my job ,though every job has it ups and downs.what I hate is when trouble shooting a problem and not getting any results sometimes. I do really love my job, we work as a team, we share ideas, we learn from one another, we are like a family, we respect each other and there is so much fun."

"Figuring out the problem is half the fun. Solving the problem is the other half. The only thing that you could hate about Sys Admin is the never-ending amount of time you much invest to stay competitive."

"Being a Linux Administrator is wonderful, largely because of how well-documented and straightforward most tasks are to set up. With everything as a file, error logging and tracing is far easier than it would be on other systems. I plan to stay a Linux Admin for as long as possible."

"I love my job as a Linux Systems Administrator. Having a new puzzle to solve every day is something I look forward to every time I head off to work. The downside, though, is that sometimes you are dealing with an especially mysterious or intractable problem that is very important for you to solve quickly, so it can be frustrating if you don't know how to prioritize, manage your time well, and learn to accept a good enough solution when called for."

Please give us a one liner to describe this review.

"Fun at times but lacks any real company vision"

What do you like about working at Gorilla Nation Media?

"I had an opportunity to spread my technical wings a bit and fly on my own. I could implement the technology I felt was best suited for the job as long as I had a decent reason for it."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Be prepared to become Agile, whether you are a software developer or not. It's an odd idea, but it sort of works."

What don't you like about working at Gorilla Nation Media?

"My direct manager was not qualified for his position, plain and simple. Promoting purely technical people to management isn't always a good idea."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Focus your core team on what makes the company money."

"Great foot in the door jobs, horrible pay, becoming too corporate."

What do you like about working at Liquid Web?

"Awesome Environment! Great benefits, free food, free drinks, game room, parties, etc."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"LEARN DNS NOW!! FIRST!! Also ... Install Linux on your own personal computer multiple times, and get comfortable with command line working such as updating, moving files, etc ... Then apply, and you'll most likely get the job. The training is really good."

What don't you like about working at Liquid Web?

"Compensation is lowest in the industry. Not much more compensation for moving up in the company. The company is also quickly becoming a more Corporate (in the negative) environment."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Go back to the original Vision of the company!! If the vision was always just to make money, then re-evaluate this vision quickly before the company fails. Also, Re-Evaluate how you provide inner office support to the employees."

What don't you like about working at HostGator?

"Low pay compared to similar positions with non-hosting companies. Good pay within the hosting industry, though."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Hire more entry-level positions to move up rather than attempting to hire in to higher positions."
