"I worked for LensCrafters for almost thirteen years. In my time there, my ability to learn was encouraged and my skills as a manager and team lead flourished. They are friendly and always willing to teach. The work in the lab is vigorous but rewarding when you provide your customers with the best experience possible."
"Lenscrafters has a long running history of being the leader in optical sales and technology. With changing times their needs have shifted and positions were deleted. They delegated 2 different manager skills into one."
"I’ve worked at LensCrafters and overall Luxottica since 2014. I have loved my time here and been thrusted into multiple leadership situations. They thrive on building from within in terms of management. I enjoyed my time but am looking for more opportunity and a higher ceiling."
"Strong customer service and focus"
"This Company used to be fantastic- up lifting place to work- in which managers cared for their employees. When they began actually closing labs and imported non optical managers it Hit the bottom. Lab Staff where forced to take the “left over hours” and Now take PTO just to keep their reduced benefits. The only manager on the store now is the 1 SMM and all of the other managers just lost their “perks” for being a manager - there is NO Point to even Strive to do that job any longer since you no longer receive anything in return. When they chose NOT to tell Retail Managers or Lab Managers that they would be loosing thousands of $$ and benefits they had been receiving- it was looked upon that we should be happy we still have our jobs for now."
"I worked for LensCrafters for many years. It is a good job if you want to learn about optics and go to another company. They've gone downhill in the past few years. Management is lousy and belittle and bully the employees. One manager also changed time cards so as not to pay overtime which legally we are entitled to. They also do not give lunch breaks as they should. Again this is illegal... When you speak to HR about all of these issues they do nothing and look the other way. The labor board really needs to audit this company."
"Best paying in retail by far. They pay is more than what normal retail managers make in a retail setting. The incentives unfortunately keep getting cut whether it's commissions or bonuses. They need to take their motto and change it too see what you love, but we don't care about our employees."
"I love the company and the people I work with but the chances of moving up in the company are slim to none unless you have no life and devote every second of your free time to not get paid. Even then, the chances of moving up are slim. When you are moved up typically you fail because you aren't prepared or trained correctly."
"An ok place to work, but nothing special."
"I have worked inside Lens Crafters for over 3 years. The doctor does not pay over time, by law I am entitled to it, she only has one staff person on all day working 10 hour days with no lunch breaks, also against the law. No benefits, sick time, vacation or personal time. When my family member died, I didn't even get as much as an I am sorry. She does insurance fraud. She gives you 3 days training and then throws you to the wolves to work by yourself not knowing much."
"Good part-time job for a college student. Involves some analysis and has a slight learning curve."
"I've worked for lenscrafters for just under a year now as a casual part time eyewear consultant. The job is relatively easy, as I only work there on the weekends."
