"An amazing place to work despite the occassional stress."
What do you like about working at Learning Worlds?
"We considered it a day job for artists and that applied to most of us (in addition to people with business backgrounds). Difficult to note compensation above, since there was a VERY generous overtime policy and the company would help in supporting (sometimes even funding) employees' own art and media projects. LW had several non-profit arms it funded with profits from the for-profit and it was rewarding to be able to give small grants to artists and performers (some of whom we involved in project work subsequently). (When we closed down, I would have been owed over 15 weeks of leave earned over 5 years of working OT but I chose to try to help us find work during the last months rather than take a sabbatical)."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"LW still exists but it is just CEO doing consulting (I helped him set up some web sites that he could use to market services but because of the economy, he wasn't able to get any bites)."
What don't you like about working at Learning Worlds?
"Due to declining budgets getting sufficient resources was sometimes a problem."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Suggestions were specific to particular projects or events. (But would generally involve how we would deal with issues with clients and how to resolve them)."
