"The higher level managers will hire you if you make them feel special and important. When you're talking to direct development managers, expect to be challenged."

"Management at the corporate level is committed to questionable development strategies, such as offshoring the majority of development on a difficult network management application to extremely junior developers in India (minimal education and less than 2 years professional experience--sometimes none)."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"The development of difficult applications requires a combination of experienced developers and junior developers. Also, some form of discipline must be imposed on the junior developers to ensure their productivity."
