"I've worked for Juniper for about 9 years in various roles. Juniper is a strong company that cares for its employees and makes every reasonable effort to provide the best environment and best benefits for its employees. It has truly been a pleasure to have worked for such a valued company. Because I know the new CEO I know he will only help to improve Juniper and take it to the next level."

"I worked at Juniper Networks as an intern over the summer of 2014. Here I worked as an Automation/Test Engineer developing Python/TCL scripts to check an existing Router configuration set to run a PBB-EVPN Model. As an adjunct I also combined all my scripts to form a suite to be used universally to check any routers setup in the same configuration and point out areas where the checks failed."

"I worked at Juniper for over 5 years and loved the technology acumen, which unfortunately contrasts heavily with the business acumen. Like many technology companies in the valley, Juniper too often build products because they can, not because the market demands it. As a result, the business goals and strategy were murky at best. In addition, executive level management has been flaky with 2 recent disastrous CEO hirings. The good news is that the newly appointed CEO is a lifelong Juniper vert who understands the market, his customers and the technology they need. So there is upside, but it's a long uphill climb to get back to the glory days."

"Stay on the route/switch side of the business. Would not recommend coming here for the security business, given lack of commitment/investment. Juniper needs more clarity on how to move forward so don't expect to build a long-term career here. Juniper has serious structural issues overall and has had major disconnects between senior executives and line management for some time. Hiring a disconnected, first time CEO focused on 100K foot messages with no real plan before making big cuts/moves is indicative. Culture is more engineering than business strategy oriented, and benefits are good. In summary, may be good for a 2-3 year stint for compensation, experience or short-term stability, but given it's market position and inability to adapt to disruptive trends, wouldn't bet on it to build a long-term career."

"Juniper networks IT group is lacking strong management and application implementation skills. They have outsourced such duties and unfortunately they don't have the in-house talent to clearly budget, plan and rollout applications successfully. They use intimidation tactics to keep employees and contractors working days and nights and weekends. Unfortunately for Juniper this is needless and actually if they hired strong talent they would be able to work on projects that had been planned properly."

"It's a great place to work great experience. I would recommend it. The pay is great for little work but yet they can just get upset and end your contract because they didn't make a sale. It's worth it from what my friends say that have been brought on full time."
