"different job sites and travel. interacting with different people on different levels of my trade"

"it's a great learning experience and you get tp travel which is a plus. also you make great connections while in the business."
What don't you like about working at United Brotherhood of Carpenters & Joiners of America?
"No real benefits, we didn't have medical or dental and since we were required to travel we couldn't get set up to get benefits"
What suggestions do you have for management?
"find a way to make benefits readily available for you upper level men."
What do you like about working at U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs?
"I really enjoyed being able to do something to give back to the people that have defended our country. Being able to help create a safe up to date health care facility for the men and women in the armed forces."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Be honest and let them know what you are capable of. If you don't know how to do something don't be afraid to ask for assistance."
What don't you like about working at U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs?
"The worst part of working for the Department of Veterans Affairs would have to be the way it takes so long to purchase materials. The good part about this though is that it gave me a lot of foresight to into planning ahead to make sure that we could complete projects on time and budget."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"To try and figure out a better way to purchase materials."
What do you like about working at DBS Construction?
"Was left alone to make my own decisions of how I wanted to get the job done"

"Be prepared to work hard long late hours. Don't try to pad your work experience because you will be found out quick."
What don't you like about working at DBS Construction?
"Some things were done a little to cost efficiently, reused a lot of material that shouldn't have been used."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Sometimes it is better to go that extra mile to get the job done a little more properly."
What do you like about working at Aderholt?
"Aderholt is a union company. They pay into the benefits program for all union carpenters. The time I spent working with Aderholt was very good. They always provided tools and material when needed. The foremen were very knowledgeable and informative."
