Jostens is a leading producer of school, athletic and group commemorative products such as yearbooks and class rings, SuperBowl rings and photo books. A subsidiary of Visant Corporation, Jostens is based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and maintains 12 manufacturing, research and administrative offices throughout the country. Its new memory book facility in Tennessee is state-of-the-art with the world's largest sheet-fed press operation. In addition to its official facilities, Jostens' independent sales representatives operate offices in communities throughout the U.S.
The company began as a watch repair business in 1897, created by Otto Josten in Owatonna, Minnesota. Jostens entered the yearbook industry in 1950, began public trading in 1959 and was listed on the New York Stock Exchange from 1965 to 2000. It was acquired by Visant in 2004.
