Working at Jackson Therapy Partners in Orlando, FL: 5 Employee Reviews

Jackson Therapy Partners Employee

"I've been a contract travel physical therapist with them for two contracts. Initially, my recruiter was responsive and happy to answer my questions. Once I signed on the dotted line for my first contract with him, he all but disappeared. I would send him texts during work hours and get left on read. When he did answer me, the answers were short. He appeared unprofessional by putting smiley faces and even winks in texts that didn't even answer my questions. I did a second contract against my own better judgment. For the second one, they didn't inform me that I needed a certain file until the day before I was supposed to start, so it delayed me from starting my job! While the pay is good, the system is bulky and old-fashioned. You still have to print out the timesheets and scan them in. For the first two weeks, they wired me money instead of direct deposit, which cost me money. It was so weird because they had my direct deposit information. The reimbursements for CEUs that they promised were 5 weeks delayed, which he said was due to someone being new at payroll. I didn't believe that but even if it were true, if it takes someone over a month to learn payroll they shouldn't work there. I've had great travel therapy experiences with other companies. Jackson is only interested in getting you signed up and then that's about it. It's a constant battle to get answers and complete your tasks in a timely manner."

"I worked for this company as a recruiter and the unprofessionalism in the manager roles is astonishing. They are condescending towards their recruiters. It isn't a fair work environment nor is it a healthy competitive environment. They just show favoritism towards people who have been with the company longest even when they're underperforming especially the managers they just goof around the entire day and don't actually work. They never keep their word. They are extremely unethical in the way they conduct business. They don't care about their recruiters and compensation. No one is paid the same and it isn't based on experience. Recruiters who have been with the company longer are making less base salary than those starting out. They don't compensate you appropriately even when you go above and beyond."

"As an experienced Occupational Therapist with a wide range of expertise in pediatrics and adult rehab, Jackson Therapy could not find me another job after my first travel job was completed. They did not return calls and basically if I was single I would have been extremely worried about paying my bills. They are super "flashy" at the beginning. Lied about compensation for hours worked during a week with holidays, do not include health plan deductions in "guaranteed" weekly compensation. MAKE SURE everything is in writing at ALL times. Read your contract carefully."

"I worked at Jackson Therapy Partners for less than a year on the admin side of the company. They outright lied in the interview. The HR Director doesn't do her job, to the point where I had to contact the insurance company myself to get her job done. They pay their admin people barely anything, and expect them to each do the work of three people. In my opinion this company is shady, and run by totally unqualified people. Probably why they were firing people left and right when I left."

"Inexperienced management, poor pay, and no chance for a promotion."

What do you like about working at Jackson Therapy Partners?

"The relaxed dress code and the freedom to organize my work the way that worked best for me."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Make sure you ask what the actual compensation is, and how often they change it on you. Also realize that this is just a glorified telemarketing call center."

What don't you like about working at Jackson Therapy Partners?

"The super loud, inappropriate and vulgar music, the super secretive management, the priority to hire family and friends over qualified people, the quickness to play the blame game instead of focusing on solutions, the way they expect people to kill themselves working for WAY less pay than what they should be getting."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Stop playing so many games, it's obvious the management keeps secrets over totally pointless things and it just breeds a lack of moral and distrust. Stop hiring and protecting unqualified friends and families. Start paying employees what the actually deserve."
