"I worked with Ivy Tech for 7 years. While the mission and opportunity were amazing, I feel like they miss opportunities trying too hard to be more like a traditional 4 year college. Also, oftentimes, it appeared as central office staff was more important than regional campus staffs."

It is just the fact that being work study did not guarantee me a job. with that being said I have seen people get hired on to departments based on who they know, and not the knowledge that they have learned. That was one thing that was disappointing to me to learn and find out. Other than that my experience there was like no other."

"I liked working for the boss I had. He taught me a lot, having started there right out of college. The company had great benefits and many great employees. I also enjoyed working for and with the students."

"upper level management says it wants to compete with four year universities but cannot get the important issues taken care of examples useful website, competitive salaries, a career path, smarter business decisions that make sense."

"Set a track and stay the course. Stop saying yes to everyone and every company. We cannot be all things to everyone. Stop promoting bad employees. Raise the level of talent by increasing salaries. Stop thinking in the box. All campuses should have the same goals state wide. Lets compete and have fun doing so."

"I am a passionate teacher and thoroughly enjoy working with the students at Ivy Tech. However, the administration is out of touch, extremely top heavy, and all decisions come from the top down. Faculty are treated very badly at Ivy Tech which drives good people away and demoralizes the rest. I could not in good conscience recommend Ivy Tech to a fellow teacher under the current circumstances."

"They are always pushing numbers. Meanwhile, you are forced to give up time with your family and change your schedule at the last minute. Work-life balance is poor because numbers are all that matters to management. I am miserable and hate my job."
