"If you are not in Schamburg don't waste your time."

"Not using people to the best of their abilities. Always saving friends rather then the best skill set in Schamburg."

"We say we are a global company but we are getting rid of people outside of Schamburg IL that are a lot better then the people at the main headquarters."

"It used to be an okay place to work until recently. The HR executive is a real piece of work!"

"Senior management is totally dysfunctional."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"All senior management people need to take an anger management course and increase dosage of medication for personal problems and baggage."

"Not much, really."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"If you like doing nothing all day and getting paid, it may be a good place for you. If you actually want to be successful in your life and accomplish something, I'd steer elsewhere."
What don't you like about working at Nationwide Insurance?
"It was painfully behind the times, is slow moving, and innovation is a joke. They are very expensive and provide less than great service to customers. Not very exciting place to work unless you enjoy punching a time clock to retirement."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"There really is no management. The people in charge keep getting recycled from within, and nothing changes. Maybe the only thing I would suggest is bring in someone from the outside, a young and energetic person that is not afraid to ruffle the feathers of the complacent."
