I have been the top performer of my department throughout my entire career. I was recently furloughed due to covid-19 , I would still be here if it wasn’t for that reason. "I liked working for IST during the first few months as I was paired with a personable and positive boss. Some of the good things about the company were the review cards that we sent to the client and working with the clients offsite. They were always appreciative, friendly, and gave us all 5s almost all of the time for the services we provided. I also liked the fast pace and bit of a challenge. Meeting new people and providing the customer service was great as well. On the other hand, upper management could improve in bringing team members up instead of down… I didn’t like working here because of that. Things were too critical and negative at times. Also, I never felt appreciated by IST for the hard work put in - there wasn’t any verbal recognition, there were also a lot of technical issues at our site but they did have a knowledgeable and helpful IT team, no paid holidays, low pay and raises for team members, and no health insurance made things difficult. I also worked weekends and long hours when salaried. I’m happy I left to a new job that has better pay, appreciates team members more! I have my own office, benefits, relaxed dress code, and am overall happier. There’s always better if you’re looking."

"Very fun company depending on which location are you are placed but compensation and advancement opportunities are lacking. Management staff is very good and looks out for their people the best they can. Having some additional training for employees as well as a plan of action to advance would very be beneficiary. Company does not currently offer health insurance and when they did it was extremely expensive and not affordable."

What do you like about working at IST Management?

"I liked the days off and getting to work with sane people at the sites they were contracted at. Everyone at IST had an odd work/ life balance, no friends or time for anything outside of IST. Cult-like employees. Making copies is NEVER that serious."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"The pay is low for a reason, they treat their employees like actual servants with no brains. Unless you're in Sales or Human Resources, I am not so sure if anyone employed here really wants to work their way up. I hear you will give up your life for this company with not so much as a pat on the back in return."

What don't you like about working at IST Management?

"All of the hypocrisy and bad treatment of new employees. I only worked here for 3 months and saw 3 people come and go who were all underpaid and ignored by management and treated as though they weren't relevant enough to make dog food. A newly pregnant employee was with migraines and other pregnancy related illness was treated as though she was a truant teenage girl because she needed a little time off to cope with morning sickness. Definitely NOT a Company with compassion. I even witnessed their regional manager questioning an employee's military orders - who does this Please give our veterans whatever time is requested of them without giving them the 3rd degree."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Take time to listen to your new employees and take training courses in human compassion and ethics."

"I like having input about the technologies that we use."

"You can grow with this job, but it will require you to work harder than what you're paid for, and you must be willing to relocate in order to be promoted."

What don't you like about working at IST Management?

"The CEO expects a high standard of performance and dress, but he does not offer the compensation for that level of performance."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"I would give better support to the employees, especially female employees. I've seen female employees go on maternity leave and not have a job to come back to. If you're going to expect a certain standard of excellence from employees, you need to offer adequate compensation. Otherwise you will lose employees to fast food."

What do you like about working at IST Management?

"Executive leadership are constantly involved in your life and they really want to make sure your needs are met as an employee. They know you on a professional level and on a personal level. My CEO and CTO come to visit often and take the company out to enjoy lunch and discuss the companies upcoming business matters. They keep us informed and they allow us to suggest new innovative techniques that can improve the company."

What don't you like about working at IST Management?

"It is a contract job, the security of employment is based upon government decisions. This makes it difficult when Fiscal Year changes are made in relation to renewing contracts."
