"I love getting experience and learning new things about the company and how it operates. I hate not getting paid for the work I do, but then again I signed up for an unpaid internship, so that is probably more my fault than theirs."

Intern at SpotXchange
in Denver, CO

Please give us a one liner to describe this review.

"I was an Intern for a wonderfully well run company"

What do you like about working at SpotXchange?

"I loved everything about this company. The CEO and CFO are both wonderful to work with as well as pioneers for the video streaming industry."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"I would recommend demonstrating your worth quickly. It is a very laid back office that embodies the work hard play hard mentality, but if you allow this to lead to slacking in work by the assumption that others will not mind, you will be sadly mistaken, everyone in the office is a work horse."

What don't you like about working at SpotXchange?

"I loved everything about the company except for maybe the physical work I performed. Being an intern I only served as a gear for updating web traffic data and respective models. This can be a very tedious position but it is work that must be done and thus, it amplified my humility."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"I would recommend to prepare for a major amplification in clients, yet I know they already are. They have a wonderful platform to provide web based advertisements and I only project their revenue to increase in the years to come."

Intern at Shinhan Bank
in Fort Lee, NJ

Please give us a one liner to describe this review.

"expertise can be beneficial in achieving your goals and tasks."

What do you like about working at Shinhan Bank?

"I enjoy so much when I figure out a way to fix a broken process, streamline a process, or find a way to meet the goal. I enjoyed the people I worked with. It was a friendly and fun atmosphere and I actually enjoyed going into work each morning. I felt the leadership team was great as well. They knew all of their employees on a first name basis and tried to make those personal connections. I also enjoyed that fact that the office tried to do community outreach with local organizations."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Be Prepared For Personal Questions, Even Some Inappropriate Ones. Anticipate how you will handle personal questions without blowing your cool. Some interviewers may not be aware of what they can and cannot legally ask you. Be sure you understand the question. It is okay to ask for clarification.Emphasize the Positive. Be frank and honest, but never apologize for lack of experience or weaknesses. You can be self-confident without being overconfident or flippant. If you are new to the job market, your lack of experience has one very positive feature: you do not have to unlearn bad habits or different practices learned from previous employers. Many employers like the idea that you can be taught their individual company procedures without needing to get rid of other training first."

What don't you like about working at Shinhan Bank?

"One of the reasons I am leaving is that I felt I was not challenged enough at the job. As a fresh face in the working world, the company offers a great opportunity for a good entry level position; however, after being there for so many years, I felt I was not able to reach my full potential because of the lack of challenge and there was no room for advancement in the company. While I did enjoy working there and appreciate the skills I developed while with the company, I feel my skill set can be better utilized elsewhere, where my capabilities are more recognized and there is the opportunity for growth."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"A fun idea for improving morale in an office is to have a few funny contests as chances for everyone to show their strong points, and banding together for a common cause. For example, some offices have a weekly silly tie day where the tackiest, silliest tie wins a ribbon and small prize (coffee mug, candy). Also, getting the office together for a food drive, park cleaning, or other community service really brings the team mentality!"
