"I worked at Intel for about 9 months and for the short time I was there my manager helped me transition from being a solider back to civilian and continue to check up on me making sure my transition was good. My coworkers were very friendly, enjoyable, hard working and always wanting the best for each other. I was given great opportunities for learning and career progress."

"I worked for Intel for 14 years in Information Technology. The overall company is a great company with strong ethical foundations and flexibility dealing with employees."

"I've worked for Intel for 7+ years. The focal process hinders progress and collaboration since it pits colleagues against each other. Additionally, the use of influence has created an environment where higher up you get the less you do but the more you need to influence decisions even if it is wrong."

"For the past decade plus, I found that Intel is not an ethical company, and know first hand that it engaged in illegal business practice such as backdating invention disclosures. For refusing to discuss my previous employer's IP and trade secrets, and for refusing to drive lower grade engineers when I didn't know who was lower or higher grade, I was demoted. In other words, I was expected to assume younger engineers are lower grade, and engage in illegal labor practice of age discrimination."

"In most ways Intel is an awesome employer. They have a vast worldwide presence, great opportunities to learn internally or get outside education, and competitive compensation. The facilities are sometimes not as well-equipped as you'd hope, particularly as it relates to food. By far, the worst part of my experience with it was the realization that (my part of) Intel sends its employees to California for indoctrination."

"Depending on its location, Intel can be a great place to work. I had a great working at Hillsboro. Not so much in Austin."

"I have worked at Intel for the last 9 months, once you get past the scI fI movie set feel of the environment it is just like any other technology company. Where hard work and determination is supplemented with creativity and motivation to get the job done in a demanding and challenging environment."

"Working for Intel, like any company has it's pluses and minuses. The company values worker contribution whether you are an Intel employee or contractor so there is a fair amount of feeling you have control of the work you do. But there is a very definite separation to the point where you are very clearly an outsider performing a task, that when complete, your time will be as well."

"Intel is a great place to work as a permanent employee but it lacks a cohesive policy for contract workers, and the opportunities for said workers are limited. There are lots of little reminders that the CWs are not fully integrated into the work environment."

"Lots of great opportunities at Intel. I have learned a great deal of information while working there. Everyone in my team, as well as other teams, were extremely helpful and could not have had a question that no one could answer. My manager in particular was very detailed and caring. Although I had many problems that I ran into, I never found it impossible to battle through them."

"Ok company. Too much politics. Too many people too many ideas. Younger engineers are not appreciated."

"Intel is a very interesting place to work for, although it's too big for my taste. Very talented people, so it's not a surprise they pulled down $40B last year. The different treatment they impose to separate green 'contractor' jobs from blue 'permanent' jobs I found to be petty and insulting. The group I was in didn't follow Scrum which I think is a bad choice. I agree with their pro-conflict resolution mentality but don't care for the ranking system that is used for bonus calculation."
