"For a person who likes to resolve production problems, the opportunities were many. I really enjoyed the work and the challenges."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"The shipbuilding industry is nearly dead in this country. Only government shipbuilding continues. Huntington Ingalls is the least competitive company that remains in the business. If you are looking for a long term career, I recommend you find a different company and a different industry."

What don't you like about working at Huntington Ingalls Industries?

"The management is filled with good ole boys who have been there for 40 years. They are very resistant to change. Promotion is difficult and raises were small."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Embrase technology, be open to new ideas. Without change, you have no chance of being competitive."
