1.6 The only decent things about this place are the benefits. The atmosphere is a terrible environment to work in. Management treats you like an expendable piece of crap on the bottom of their shoes. There is little to no room for advancement. You must get to work 2 hours before you start or walk 2 miles just to get there. Despite what the news and upper level people say, this place is very highly unorganized.

3.2 I worked for Huntington Ingalls Industries between 2011 and 2013. I worked as an engineer during my time there.The pros: Good job security. Lots of initiatives by upper management to make things better. The company prefers to transfer people to a different department than lay them off.The cons: Too easy to hit your limit for career growth. Very easy to be pigeon-holed into a particular project for years. Management did not always effectively leverage skills.
